The University of Florida historic campus was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The commitment of the administration of the University of Florida, as well as the State of Florida itself, in taking these measures to preserve the campus only shows the prominent leadership role that the University has in regards to historic preservation. To help in this preservation endeavor, The University of Florida has archived photos and campus plans dating back to 1905, some of which are the original architectural drawing and photos.
