I'm interested in pitching a story to a national news outlet on historic walking tours of campus that colleges offer to the public. For three years, the University of Vermont, founded in 1791, has been offering a weekly, free historic tour during the summer and fall. It's led by a terrific emeritus professor and is informative, entertaining, and very popular. I wonder if others offer such tours. If so, I'd like to pitch a story that identified a number of tours -- ours and others -- to the travel editor of a major outlet. If you offer a tour and would like to be included in my pitch, could you send me some background information? The address for a web site providing details on the tour would be ideal.
